Vazha-Pshavela Museum-Reading Hall at the National Library

m² will fund the construction works for the Vazha Pshavela museum-reading hall at the National Library.

National Parliamentary Library of Georgia and m² Real Estate have concluded a memorandum of understanding. The MoU was signed by Giorgi Kekelidze, director general of NPLG and Irakli Burdiladze, director general of m², by which the parties agreed to open a Vazha Pshavela Museum-reading hall at the National Library . m² will fund the construction works for the museum.

This will be a space with a reading hall, museum, students' innovative corner and reception. The concept developed by the National Library and m² aims to make this place one of the major spaces at the National library which will be oriented on youth development.

Vazha-Pshavela museum-reading hall will host various events including public lectures, master classes and presentation of various books.

“In its concept, Vazha-Pshavela Museum-reading Hall will be some kind of a bridge between the traditional and innovative reading halls, like Vazha-Pshavela was himself. Any component of such space will be extremely important and critical for the modern library’’, said Giorgi Kekelidze, director general of the National Library.

“It is a great honor for us, for each of our employees to contribute to the creation of Vazha-Pshavela museum-reading hall. We are happy that National Library of Georgia will have one more important area. Support to the educational sphere is one of our major directions along with environment protection and creation of adapted environment for people with disabilities’’, declared Irakli Burdiladze, director general of m².

Vazha Pshavela hall will be opened in autumn this year.
